"Skater Snowman" is a cross-stitch chart with instructions translated in English.
Design stitch count: 91 wide x 105 high
Design area:
- 18,2 x 21 cm (7¼ x 8¼ in) on a 25 count fabric
- 16,5 x 19,1 cm (6½ x 7½ in) on a 28 count fabric or on a 14 count Aida
- 15,2 x 17,5 cm (6 x 7 in) on a 32 count fabric
- 14,5 x 16,7 cm (5¾ x 6½ in) on a 16 count Aida
Special stitches: This is a cross-stitch design with quite a lot of back stitches, some straight stitches, some Smyrna cross-stitches (the snow flakes) and 2 French knots There are very clear drawings and instructions on the chart if you want to try your hand at these special stitches. You can also replace the French knots by small black beads. The Smyrna cross-stitches are very easy to do so that is worth a try: the effect is really great for snowflakes.
Threads and colours
This pattern shows 14 colours (DMC references on the chart).
The model on the picture has been stitched on a linen band colour "off-white" using two strands of cotton over two threads of fabric.
Recommended Fabric: of your choice regarding the type (linen / evenweave / Aida) and the stitch count, colour "White" or "off-white", 35x45 cm (14x18 in).
