"Small patterns and Butterflies" is a coloured cross-stitch chart (very easy to follow) with instructions translated in English.
This is a small pattern ideal for those who would like to try their hand at stitching on linen or evenweave instead of Aida. Isabelle actually uses this pattern to teach cross-stitch, eyelet stitches and straight stitches to youngsters.
Design stitch count: 60 wide x 75 high
Design area:
- 10 x 12,5 cm (4 x 5 in) on a 32 count linen
- 9,5 x 11,9 cm (3¾ x 4¾ in) on a 16 count Aida
- 10,9 x 13,6 cm (4¼ x 5⅜ in) on a 28 count linen or a 14 count Aida
Special stitches: This is a cross-stitch design with some straight stitches and some eyelets stitches.
Threads and colours
This pattern shows 3 colours (DMC references on the chart).
The model on the picture has been stitched on a 32 count linen fabric (colour "Ecru") using on strand of cotton over two threads of fabric (for a faded effect).
Recommended Fabric: 32 count linen fabric or 16 count Aida (colour "Ecru" or "off-white"), dimensions 30x30 cm (12 x 12 in).
